Business Social Compliance Initiative
With headquarters in Brussels, the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is a non-profit group that offers companies a common social management system to improve working conditions for suppliers and workers worldwide. Members use a combination of external monitoring and other activities to ensure sustainable improvements. The BSCI forbids discrimination and child labour and promotes environmental respect. Workers are paid fair wages and must not log more than 48 regular hours plus 12 hours of overtime a week. Source: BSCI
