The photo archives of Swissair is a unique resource. The book “Swissair Souvenirs” is a homage to the former Swiss national airline and a contribution to the country’s technological, economic and photographic history.

The planes with the Swiss cross on their tails were for years considered national symbols and icons of Swiss reliability and efficiency. Following the airline’s ignominious grounding in 2001, the library of the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich took charge of the archive and its 290,000 images.
