77 Bombay Street: Up In The Sky
Folk Rock. The sound these four brothers from Scharans play is reminiscent of The Beatles in their early days or the Beach Boys after a night on the drink. The band members were born and raised in Basel. In 2001 the teenagers moved with their parents to Australia. During their two year stay they set up the family home at 77 Bombay Street in Adelaide. However upon their return to Switzerland, the four decided to abandon city life. "We were lucky to be able to take over the old chalet that belonged to our grandparents in Scharans," says Esra, one of the foursome. "Surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Grisons, it was just perfect." Shortly afterwards they formed their band and named it after their temporary home down under.
