Bodmer rediscovered
A Swiss artist's view of 19th century Native Americans.
The North America Native Museum in Zurich is exhibiting the 81 engravings made by Karl Bodmer during a scientific trip to the American west in 1832 to 1834. His pictures helped shape the image of indigenous Americans in Europe.
