Crossing the great wall of sound

In Pet Conspiracy’s world, there are no rules or plans. Maybe that’s why the band’s live shows are so unique. But what connects the Chinese-Italian group with Switzerland? A video shoot in St Gallen and two tours – all last year.

Back home in China, Pet Conspiracy haven’t had to schlep around their amplifiers themselves for ages. The band, notorious for their garish appearances, mix punk rock attitude, disco beats and New Wave melodies with the chaotic, artistic flair of individual members. The band has toured China for a while and played at the hottest clubs and festivals.

Michael Vonplon, from the firm Miro-China promoting Chinese culture in Switzerland, has brought the band here several times. In 2012, Pet Conspiracy were part of a group of creative artists who visited Zurich during the Street Parade.
