The hammered dulcimer (hackbrett) is a traditional folk music instrument in Appenzell, Eastern Switzerland. On this CD dulcimer virtuoso Nicolas Senn plays melodies from all over the world.
Nicolas Senn's Hackbrett has 125 strings and it was produced in 1982 by the famous Johann Fuchs "chlinn Fochsli" in Appenzell.
