Passionate about languages and cultures, my career path took a short turn through marketing and assistant work before crossing the road into journalism, in a job that allows me to converse with people from all over the world.

Katy Romy

As a correspondent at the Federal Palace for SWI swissinfo.ch, I report on federal politics for the Swiss abroad. After studying at the Academy of Journalism and Media at the University of Neuchâtel, my career path initially took me to various regional media, working in the editorial offices of Journal du Jura, Canal 3 and Radio Jura bernois. Since 2015, I have been working in the multilingual editorial department of SWI swissinfo.ch, where I continue to practise my profession with passion.

Olivier Pauchard

I'm mainly in charge of translating, proofreading and publishing articles for SWI swissinfo.ch. I also occasionally write press reviews and original articles on "Swiss oddities". After studying history and religious studies, I began my journalistic career at Radio Fribourg. After a spell with the Swiss newsroom of the Swiss Telegraphic Agency, I joined SWI swissinfo.ch in 2000. I worked there for a long time as a specialist in federal politics, then in historical themes. More recently, I've been translating, proofreading and putting articles online.

Rachel Barbara Häubi

Warfare, humanitarian crises, climate change, health... Rachel covers geopolitical issues from international Geneva. As a former environmental journalist, she has developed a keen interest in raw materials and has reported on mining conflicts in the Arctic. She also coordinates the ‘Genève Vision’ editorial project, a joint venture between SWI Swissinfo.ch, Géopolitis RTS and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

After studying political science in Neuchâtel and Bern, I started out in multimedia journalism at SwissTXT and RTS. Since 2008, I've been working at SWI swissinfo.ch, where I've held various journalistic and management positions.
