In 1992, four musicians of three different nationalities founded the Aura Quartet. They are all mebers of the Basle Symphony Orchestra. Antonio Nunes is its concert master, Roger Pyne is a first violinist, Christian Vaucher plays viola, and Conrad Wyss is principal cellist. Hans Joerg Fink was born in Basle. He has made a name for himself primarly as an interpreter of Swiss works.
