Landslide sweeps through Swiss village of Bondo
The citizens of Bondo, a small village in canton Graubünden, were hit by a massive landslide on Wednesday.
This time, an automatic alarm system alerted them to the coming danger after a similar event in 2012.
One hundred people were evacuated from their homes before falling rocks reached the entrance of the village, disconnecting a main road. The landslide caused a major flood that flowed down towards Bondo. Eight people had been reported missing as of Thursday afternoon.
