Literature buffs meet in Solothurn
The town of Solothurn plays host to the annual literature festival this weekend – the most important multilingual literary forum in Switzerland.
The three-day event, which began on Friday, features international and Swiss authors including Adolf Muschg, Paul Nizon, and Peter Stamm.
More than 70 writers from Europe, America and China will read from their works, some of which are as yet unpublished.
The guests include Lynda Davies and Nathan Englander from the United States.
Cabinet Minister Moritz Leuenberger, known for his essays and speeches as well as for his blog, will take part in a literary debate.
The Solothurn festival was founded in 1979.
