Tackling Geneva’s homeless crisis
A Geneva-based charity, Carrefour-Rue, is helping to address the city’s homeless problem with a unique scheme offering container homes to those in need. Ten units are being made available for homeless people.

Last winter, 1450 different people used the city’s emergency overnight facilities. The figure is not expected to decrease this winter. But there is only room for 200 people per night in emergency shelters. The containers, with bedrooms, showers and cooking facilities, will house 20 people on a longer-term basis. (SF/swissinfo.ch)
