Tsonga’s Swiss house burgled during final
It wasn’t a good Saturday night for French tennis player Jo-Wilfried Tsonga: not only was he beaten by Roger Federer, but his house was broken into.
Tsonga, ranked six in the world, has lived in Gingins, canton Vaud, on the French border since 2009.
A neighbour raised the alarm after noticing the patio doors had been forced in, according to Swiss newspaper Le Matin.
Tsonga, who said he hoped to “recognise his home” when he returned to Switzerland, reached the final of the end-of-year World Tours Final in London, where he was beaten by Switzerland’s Roger Federer 6-3, 6-7, 6-3.
