In 1877, Giacomo and Caterina's daughter, Sabina Salmina (1857-1948), married Battista Salmina (1834-1907), also a native of Intragna, and accompanied him back to his home in Napa, California. They owned the "William Tell Hotel" in St Helena.

From Debra Talbot, Australia: The Lafranchi brothers at their truck outside of the Swiss Mountain Hotel in Blampied, Victoria. Blampied is not far from Eganstown. The Hotel is still there, I had a meal there in 2007 and it was delicious. Andrea Lafranchi's family ran the hotel.
