swissmusic

Clarinetist Fabio di Càsola and the Musikkollegium Wintherthur under Douglas Boyd on an album entirely devoted to music by Mozart. The famous late work for clarinet is contrasted with two sparkling and fancy works Mozart wrote early in 1778 during his stay in Paris. In the Sinfonia Concertante, K 297b, di Càsola shares the spotlight with 3 other wind soloists of the Musikkollegium. Their fluent exchange there marks a highlight of this throughout lucid recording.

Andante con variazioni, K 297b

F. di Càsola; D. Boyd
