The 12th package of European Union (EU) sanctions against Russia, which was adopted by Brussels on December 18 last year, also includes a ban on the purchase and import of pig iron or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Russia, the government said. In December, Switzerland added 147 further individuals, companies and organisations from Russia and Belarus to its sanctions list. The adoption of the sanctions is a reaction to “Russia’s ongoing destabilising actions that undermine the territorial integrity, sovereignty and security of Ukraine”, the government said.
