Protection for two international conferences

Switzerland is staging one of its most challenging security operations yet in order to protect heads of state and other VIPS attending two major international conferences in the same week. (SRF Tagesschau/swissinfo.ch)

Hundreds of troops, police and private security companies have been called up in Davos for the World Economic Forum, and in Montreux for the Syria peace talks. Air surveillance is being carried out jointly by the Swiss, French and Austrian air forces.
