What it takes for new medicines to access the market

Before a new medical product can be sold in Switzerland, it requires an establishment licence granted by Swissmedic, the Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products. The authorization procedure is complex, involving a lot of tests and paper work. (swissinfo, Michele Andina)
