Partially sighted man hopes for a new deal to support the benefit scheme
The Swiss disability insurance system has run up a mountain of debt, with 3.8% of the population now claiming benefits. On September 27, 2009 the Swiss will vote on a temporary increase in value added tax to tackle the deficit. Olivier Maridor, who is partially sighted, explains how the benefit system has helped him to find and keep a job.
