A documentary and animation filmmaker from Bern, Michele studied film at Zurich University of the Arts. He's been a swissinfo.ch video journalist since 2004 and has a special interest in developing new video formats for mobile viewing, mixing animation and documentary styles.
The papal Swiss Guard tradition has been marching on since 1506 – making it the oldest, continually active military corps in history. To mark the 500th anniversary of the force’s existence, about 70 former Swiss Guards followed in the footsteps of the troops who established the corps, arriving in Rome in the first week of May, 2006.(swissinfo archive 2006, Michele Andina)
