Lausanne cling onto slim hopes
Lausanne have managaed to keep alive their slim hopes of qualifying for the ice hockey play-offs, after beating Chur 5-4 on Saturday.
Lausanne, just two league points behind Bern, will be under pressure to defeat Kloten in Sunday’s decisive games, which will determine the eighth and final team to qualify for the play-offs. Lausanne’s qualification is also dependent on Bern losing to Fribourg.
Bern, for their part, suffered their third consecutive defeat after losing 2-3 to Kloten. Fribourg drew 3-3 against Ambri.
Meanwhile, Zurich Lions snapped up two league points after their 3-1 win over Zug, with two winning goals by Wichser.
Davos maintained their strong track record, defeating Langnau 5-4 to place them seven points ahead of second-ranked Lugano.
The Ticino team beat Rapperswil-Jona 3-1 in Saturday’s league games.
